Could Pressure Be A New Starting Point?

A Thought On Pressure

"Sometimes when you are closest to your breakthrough the pressure is the greatest. You have come too far to give up now!" ~Joyce Meyer

Both pictures were taken by me. No one was present to witness the can bursting.

I'm sure that at some point in our lives, we've all felt like an aluminum can filled with so much pressure that we could burst at any moment. It's common knowledge that something under tension will find a way to escape. Depending on your viewpoint, it could be a tragic explosion or a new starting point.

Some of you might be feeling that way right now. It can be overwhelming, but I hope you know that, no matter what, there's always someone out there you can talk to. You're not alone. 🙂

There are numerous reasons why we could feel under pressure. Maybe it's as minor as wanting to do too many things. 😅 Maybe it's something more. 🤔 Or a combination of different things...

Perhaps it's the state of our planet and the fact that not enough is being done about it. 🌍

Or perhaps it's the pressure of our surroundings. Maybe you are feeling trapped like there is no space to breathe. Or you don't know where to go, which path to take, or what to do next.

Perhaps, it's the pressure of expectations. Sometimes we have our standards set too high for ourselves. Maybe there's something you think you are ready for when you're not, or the steps you are trying to take are too wide. Or maybe you are too hard on yourself and pushing yourself too far.🐜

Or perhaps it's pressure from the people that surround us. We try to live up to their expectations even if we cannot. Maybe we are trying to fit in somewhere we don't or matching something we're not. Or you're trying too hard to never upset anyone and make everyone happy (which is not possible).

Perhaps it's the fear of the unknown; the uncertainty of the future, the troubles of your past, or simply the overwhelming present; that feeling of having no way to escape.🌴

Perhaps we feel insecure about ourselves and/or our decisions. Or we don't know how to deal with things. Maybe you are hiding or pushing it away, and over time, the pressure grows. In a sense, you are "bottling up your emotions."

Perhaps you can't figure out the reasons yet. Sometimes the answer could come from somewhere you least expect it to. 🍃

I believe that most of the time, we fall under pressure because of fear. We fear falling behind and not being able to keep up. We fear being cast away from where we feel safe. We fear having regrets. We fear making an irreversible mistake. We fear doing something, but then we fear not doing something.

Don't let pressure and stress get the best of you. Don't let it control you or define who you are. Sometimes we have to take risks (such as publishing this post with my random thoughts). You won't know until you do. 🌻

All of that and more can put us under pressure. But it's up to you to decide how to respond and what to do about it. You can let it go and free yourself (by talking to someone or something or simply writing it all down). Or you can use that pressure as motivation. You can let it control you and bring you under... or use it to your advantage.

Not all pressure is bad. Sometimes it gets us to start taking steps in a new direction. To make changes. 🌱

You're probably wondering what the point of this post is, and truthfully, I'm not sure. It's just something that came to my mind. Perhaps something good may come of it. 🤷

More importantly, we need to learn to let go, relax, and have some fun in our lives! So, I'm switching to the topic of actual aluminum cans under extreme pressure. Here is an interesting video I made with Louise, Hailey, and McKayla, which took place in 2022. Enjoy! 🙃😉

The video was so much fun indeed! I didn't know what to expect. I probably thought we would end up getting sprayed with the sugary drink... 😅 I will admit, I thought the bursting sound was very impressive! 😃 I'm so glad we filmed the epic event. 😉
