Why? Well, I don't actually know... Becoming a blogger was never on the list of things I wanted to do or try in my life. Then two of my real-life best friends ( Hailey and McKayla ) showed us their blogs (on September 22nd, 2022), and that's how my two sisters ( Louise and Yokoshi ) and I were introduced to Blogger. At the time, Yokoshi and I were considering how we'd show our work to the world (Yokoshi's digital art and my photography). Blogger seemed like the best place to start with. At first, I wasn't sure if I even wanted to commit to a blog of my own since it seemed like a lot of work (which it is if I'm honest). But before I knew it, I was putting together my first blog and my first posts. I created a profile on February 1st, 2023, and pub

My Best Snapshots from 2018

"Stop worrying about what you have to lose and start focusing on what you have to gain." ~Unknown A Beautiful Summer Evening (June 25th) G reetings, my fellow readers! 😊 Finally, here is the third post in my Snapshots series! The main reason it took me so long is that I had to finish sorting through all of my 2018 pictures and upload them to OneDrive... In May 2018, I got a new camera for my birthday (which I am forever grateful for). You will notice that my pictures (at least most of them) are of a higher quality than before. Therefore, it became much harder for me to choose less than 50 favourites... (Don't worry, there are less than 30 pictures in this post). I also wanted to note that in 2018, my family and I welcomed several new animals to the family (a box turtle and three kittens). I had several very good and adorable pictures of them, including our three guinea pigs who we already had at that point. But I decided not to inclu

What is Love? (And My Thoughts on It)

Love is more valuable than gold." ~Matshona Dhliwayo Note:  P lease keep in mind that this post is for entertainment purposes only. These are just my thoughts and theories and are not intended to offend or label anyone. A  timeless question asked again and again with each coming generation: What is the meaning of love? For thousands of years, we humans have tried to find a simple definition of what love is. Poems, songs, plays, movies, and books have attempted to explain it. Philosophers, scientists, and common folk have tried as well. Is it a chemical or hormonal response? Is it an illusion; a figment of our imaginations? The truth is that love comes in very many forms, making it quite the challenge to assign just one definition to it. I just now tried to look up the meaning of the word itself to see what would come up. I didn't want to fill up this blog post by adding all of them, haha...😅 But

(Aug. 23rd) H ere is a second post ranking my best model animal pictures from 2018. You will notice that these are more vivid and have a higher quality, since I got a new camera in May 2018. The majority of these were taken as I was experimenting with what my camera was capable of. The model animals I used were Schleich, Safari Ltd., and some flocked horses that belong to me and/or my sisters,  Louise  &  Yokoshi . I sorted the pictures from best to least, making this post's cover photo my favourite from 2018. My flocked horse, Elvira, travelling over a lovely creek. (June 25th) Louise's flocked horse, Eldorado, glowing in the sun. (June 25th) Louise's flocked horse, Eldorado, not glowing in the sun.
